THE NO NAME DIP

Ingredients & Directions:

The other night, I made a dip for trivia night and promised to share the recipe. Here it is, the Nameless Dip. According to Nick, this dip remains unidentified. I’ve been calling it “No Name Dip.” I get it; it’s unique. This dip is inexpensive and easy to make. It consists of four ingredients. No more, no less.

The store I went to didn’t have the 16 oz container I prefer, so what you see in the picture is actually two 8 oz sour cream containers. In this case, sixteen ounces will do.

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz sour cream
  • Note: If you can’t find a single 16 oz container, two 8 oz containers will work just as well.
  • 1 cup real bacon bits
  • Ensure they are real bacon bits for the best flavor. Avoid using imitation bacon bits.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Cheddar Jack is preferred, but feel free to use your favorite type of shredded cheese.
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
  • Use the original flavor for the classic taste.

Instructions:

  1. Combine Sour Cream and Ranch: In a medium-sized bowl, add the sour cream. Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix over the sour cream and stir until well combined.
  2. Add Bacon Bits: Fold in the real bacon bits, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Incorporate Shredded Cheese: Add the shredded cheese to the bowl and stir until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve the dip with your favorite chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables like carrot sticks, celery, and bell pepper strips.
  • For an extra touch, garnish with a bit of shredded cheese or some additional bacon bits on top before serving.

Storage:

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Give it a good stir before serving again.

Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make No Name Dip at your next trivia night or casual get-together!

Recipe 2:

The only things you’ll need are some genuine bacon chunks and 16 ounces of sour cream (the picture shows two 8-ounce containers, but I had to settle for that as the shop I went to didn’t have the 16-ounce container of the specific kind I like). Ensure they are real bacon bits. I tried fake ones once, and it was the grossest thing I’ve ever had.

  • Serve the dip with your favorite chips or crackers. Try not to eat it all at once.

Final Thoughts:

Nick may make fun of the name, but trust me, this dip is amazing. The combination of ranch and sour cream is my go-to condiment. Mix the two together, add the bacon bits while whisking, and then incorporate all the cheese. This dip may look unassuming, but it’s incredibly delicious.

Try it with some chips or crackers of your choice. And if you’re like me, you might find you could survive off this dip, ice cream, and cookies. Luckily, I have friends to share it with. Enjoy!

Enjoy!
