Chocolate Fudge
Ingredients
- 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pan
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, extending the foil over the edges to make removal easier. Grease the foil lightly with butter or nonstick spray.
Step 2: Melt the Ingredients
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Step 3: Add Vanilla and Salt
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until fully incorporated.
Step 4: Pour into Pan
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Spread it evenly with a spatula to ensure a smooth top.
Step 5: Chill the Fudge
- Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until it is firm.
Step 6: Cut into Squares
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the edges of the foil.
- Peel away the foil and place the fudge on a cutting board.
- Cut into small squares with a sharp knife.

- Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
