PHILLY CHEESESTEAK EGG ROLLS

Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls

These Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are the perfect fusion of two beloved foods. Packed with cheese, peppers, onions, and juicy beef, they make for a delicious appetizer or snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beefsteak
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the beef to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, then add the shredded provolone cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and well combined.
  5. Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  6. On a clean surface, place an egg roll wrapper with one corner facing you.
  7. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
  8. Roll the wrapper tightly around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  9. In a large, deep saucepan, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  10. Working in batches, add the egg rolls to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  11. Remove the egg rolls from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  12. Serve the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Enjoy your delicious Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls!
