How to Make Cream Pie

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh cream
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- icing sugar for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions:
To begin, in a large bowl, mix together the baking soda, flour, brown sugar and salt.
Now incorporate the diced cold butter into the flour mixture, using your hands, until you get a grainy texture.
After that, add the egg and vanilla essence to the dough, continuing to work until you get a uniform consistency. Now line a pie tin with the dough, pressing it firmly into the bottom and up the sides.
Now place the tin in the freezer for about 15 minutes, while you preheat the oven to 180 °C.
After the cooling time, remove the tin from the freezer and pour the fresh cream over the pastry.
Finally, bake the tart in the preheated oven for about 30–35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden, and the filling is firm.
